Abstract:
To provide a non-modular prosthetic device for a joint arthroplasty, and a method for producing the same.
A prosthetic implant comprises a bearing component 160 having an interlock means disposed on the outer surface; a backing component 120 having a coarse surface; and a polymer interlayer 140 disposed between the interlock means and the coarse surface to connect the bearing component to the backing component. The bearing component and the interlayer are not made of the same material.
