Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent a club shaft from being bent at taking out from and into a caddy bag, particularly, in golf play, or erroneously broken or damaged during waiting in the play or at the transportation of a golf club.
CONSTITUTION: A protecting cover 2 is formed into an openable and closable cylinder in the longitudinal direction for covering the whole length of a club shaft 3 extending from the hosel part 3a of a golf club 1 to the grip end 3b. The protecting cover 2 is formed of a hard material such as resin, light metal such as aluminium, or fiber-reinforced plastics, and radially divided into at least two or more pieces (halved), one-side edge parts of which are openable and closable through a hinge part.
