Title:
PROTECTION CIRCUIT FOR POWER SEMICONDUCTOR MODULE AND INVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11225051
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To minimize increase in number of components in the power semiconductor module and to surely operate the module without being affected by noise.

The protection circuit 11 connects directly to a gate terminal 4, an emitter terminal 3 and a sense terminal 5 of the power semiconductor module 15 not via wiring. Then the circuit 11 is formed by forming a sense resistor 6 that generates a voltage in response to a signal outputted from the sense terminal 5 and a switching element 7 that is operated at a voltage of a prescribed level produced in time sense resistor 6 to turn off the power semiconductor module 15 on a printed circuit board.
