Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain insulation covering with sufficient mechanical strength and secure electrical insulation performance with simple structure in a protection device for automated compressors.
SOLUTION: A protection device 1 consists of a thermal response switch 2 with a metal airtight container and a plurality of insulation coverings 3 and 4. The thermal response switch 2 is provided with two lead terminal pins projecting from the airtight container, and fixing metal fitting being provided at lead wires 5A and 5B is welded and fixed to each. The first insulation covering 3 is in a sheet shape with a through hole at one end, is fixed by inserting the lead terminal pins, and covers the tip of the lead terminal pins at the other end. The second insulation covering 4 is fixed by thermal shrinkage and ultrasonic welding, and retains and fixes the thermal response switch and the first insulation covering, thus overlapping only a plurality of insulation coverings of a required part with a simple method without hardening the entire covering as compared with before, and hence improving mechanical strength and electrical insulation properties.
