Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the control technology by which a power transformer is considerably made small by providing an AND detection section, a timer control section and a high voltage power supply interruption control section to plural power supply changeover amplifiers.
CONSTITUTION: A power transformer 1 includes power supply taps 15, 16 and 8, 9. Power branch means 21, 22. provide a comparatively small power to a load through the taps 15, 16 and power branch means 23, 24 provide a comparatively large power to a load through the taps 8, 9. A mean current detection section 37 detects a mean current flowing to the taps 8,9 to provide an output of an overflow signal when the mean current exceeds a predetermined level. A temperature detection section 34 detects a temperature of the transformer 1 and provides an overheat signal output when the detected temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold level. An AND means 42 provides an output of an enable signal based on the overflow signal and the overheat signal and a timer means 43 counts a predetermined time based on the enable signal to provide an output of a cut-off signal. Thus, a power interrupt means 36 interrupts the means 23, 24 to protect a load.
