Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection device, capable of detecting a switch failure, and a transformation system having the protection system.SOLUTION: A protection system 13 includes an FET 30 on a current path flowing, when a DC voltage is applied between terminals 10, 11, between the terminals 10, 11 through a DCDC converter 12. The FET 30 becomes ON when the application direction of the DC voltage applied between the terminals 10, 11 is one direction, whereas becomes OFF when the application direction of the DC voltage is another direction. When the application direction of the DC voltage applied between the terminals 10, 11 is the one direction, a control unit 35 detects whether or not the FET 30 is in failure.
