To provide protective boards and a coil body, in which deformation is not caused in the coiled body, and damages are not caused on the periphery of the coil, even the coil is fallen or rolled on the floor by preventing displacement of bundling straps of a coiled boy of a packing band 15, and maintaining the uniform bundled state.

The coiled body comprises a hollow coil 14 on which the band 15 is wound, disklike protective boards 11 having respectively center holes 12, and a plurality of bundling straps 17 for integrally fast tying the coil 14 together with the protective boards 11. A plurality of notches 13 are made on the periphery of the boards 11. The peripheral edge of each board 11 is positioned outside of the coil 14, and the bottoms 13a of the notches 13 in the board 11 are positioned inside the periphery of the coil 14, and the bundling straps 17 are caught in the notches 13 of the boards 11.
