Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent it from being damaged by a reversely connected battery biasing a MOSFET into nonconductive condition, when the battery is reverse connected.
CONSTITUTION: When a battery 11 is connected normal, a MOSFET 1 is turned off, with its source connected to a positive electrode and its gate connected to a ground. Therefore, the MOSFET 10 is turned on, and a current is supplied to load 12. When the battery 12 is reverse connected, the gate voltage of the MOSFET 1 becomes a positive voltage, so that the MOSFET 1 is turned on. Hereby, the MOSFET 10 is turned off to prevent the current from flowing to load 12. Therefore, it is prevented from being damaged by the reverse connected battery.
