PURPOSE: To improve durability of copper alloy mold by providing an insert member to overheated part.

CONSTITUTION: A mold for vehicle wheel has a lower mold, horizontal mold, upper mold 40, further an inserts 21, 411 and auxiliary mold 41. A cavity consisting of a disk forming part 51, spoke forming part 52, etc., with these molds 21, 40, 41, 411, etc. An insert member 80 is arranged to a projecting part 212 consisting of the spoke forming part 52, etc. The insert member 80 is of cylindrical shape as fitted outside the projecting part 212 and fixed for coming off prevention by press fitting a pin 81 and welding 83. The insert member 80 is formed with a material having melting point higher than copper, e.g. die steel or ceramic. By this method, the overheated part is protected by the insert member and is hard to be eroded.
