Title:
PROTECTIVE ELEMENT AND PACK BATTERY PROVIDED WITH THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007123129
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To blow out a fuse without fail by a heating resistor even under a big variation of voltage of a battery housed in a pack battery.
The protective element is provided with low-melting-point metal 5 which is blown out by heating, and a heating resistor 4 which heats the low-melting-point metal 5 with Joule heat generated by current conducted by being thermally coupled with the low-melting point-metal 5. The heating resistor 4 is made by connecting in parallel a plurality of resistance elements 7 which have different electrical resistances and also different supply voltages for blowing out.
