Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective structure of an electric hot water heater arranged in the interior of an automobile, which even when the automobile body inner wall is deformed greatly inward in the automobile width due to a side collision of the automobile, can avoid a rubber hose from being damaged between the deformed automobile body inner wall and an end of a hose nipple.SOLUTION: An electric hot water heater for heating coolant liquid as cooling water for an engine, which is arranged just below a seat and above an automobile body floor panel, is provided with: hose nipples 21 and 22, arranged on a side face opposing to the automobile width inner wall of a main body portion of the electric hot water heater, to which a rubber hose 71 for supplying coolant liquid and a rubber hose 72 for discharging the liquid are connected; and a hose nipple protector 8 installed on the upper regions of the hose nipples 21 and 22. The hose nipple protector 8 has eave portion 82 and 83 that protrude further outward in an automobile width direction than apical ends of the hose nipples 21 and 22 and cover regions ranging from base ends to the apical ends of the hose nipples 21 and 22.
