This protective suit 1 is provided with a dress main body 2 to be attached at least to the upper half of the body, an air bag 2 to become a swollen state so as to wrap at least the upper half of the body by packing gas, a fall detecting sensor 22 capable of detecting a fall state in the case of falling and with a compressed gas supplying apparatus for feeding 6 gas to the air bag 2 by the detection of the falling state by the fall detecting sensor 22. The air bag 2 is further provided with a collar 6 for swelling by the packing of the gas and covering the head of the human body. The suit main body 2 is a vest 1 for covering the upper half of the body. The supply of the gas to the air bag 2 by the compressed gas supplying apparatus is controlled by the detection of the falling state by the fall detecting sensor 22 and based on a heart rate, blood pressure and brain wave measured from a human body.
