This protector consists of a first protector main body 11, which is constituted of a first side plate 12 and a second side plate 13 and has a nearly L-shaped section, a second protector body 14 which is constituted of a third side plate 15 and a fourth side plate 16 and has a nearly L-shaped section, and engaging protrusions 13a and engaging recesses 16a which are formed in the second side plate 13 and the fourth side plate 16, respectively, and constitute the first protector main body 11 and the second protector body 14 into an U-shaped section by interconnecting the second side plate 13 and the fourth side plate 16.
