To suppress the generation of a vibrating sound when a vehicle is travelling by preventing deformation and damage caused by the load of an electric wire bundle when it is installed into the vertical surface of a vehicle panel in a protector receiving a wire harness.

In a protector in which a wire-like body is housed in a groove- like protector main body 1 and its opening part is closed by a lid body 2, a partition 4 is projected from the internal bottom surface of the protector main body 1, and a protrusion 4a at the top is engaged with a hole 5 provided in the lid body 2. In the protruding part of the partition 4, a clamp 4b for fixing it to a vehicle body is formed. The clamp 4b is exposed through the hole 5 provided in the lid body 2, and the protector is fixed in such a manner that the lid body 2 is brought into close contact with a vehicle panel. The cross-sectional shape of the partition 4 in the direction of groove extension has an inclined part so as to make the base part of the protector main body 1 wider than the protrusion 4a at the top.
