To provide a system for exhaustively measuring the cell membrane transportation activity of a variety of transporters, in particular, to provide a method for the development of a transporter active protein array for efficiently screening a transporter based on the recognizability of test specimens such as candidate compounds for new drug and the transportability as a substrate at a high through-put and a method for screening a transporter recognizing the test substances by using the protein array having transporter activity.
A gene of a transporter decidedly participating in the transportation of a drug through a biomembrane or of a transporter possible to participate in the transportation of a drug through a biomembrane by an unknown function is inserted in an adenovirus expression vector and introduced to the same host cells arranged on an array to prepare the transporter active protein array composed of a cell group expressing various transporters. The array provides a quantitative data on the recognition level of the test substance on each transporter and the take-in or discharging extent as a substrate.
