This proteome analyzer is equipped with: a dispensing mechanism equipped with a dispensing element 10 for dripping a sample or a reagent; an image scanner 6 for reading a lower image; a movable table 2 which supports a target 52 on its upper surface and is moved within a horizontal plane to position the target 52 at least at the dispensing position below the dispensing element 10 and the image reading position under the image scanner 6; a monitor part 60 for displaying the image read by the image reader 6; a dispensing position designating part 62 for designating the dispensing position above the target 52 on the basis of the image of the target displayed on the monitor part 60; a dispensation control part 7 for performing the relative positioning of target 52 with respect to the dispensing element 10 so that the dispensing position above the target 52 designated by the dispensing position designating part 62 comes to the region under the dispensing element 10 of the dispensing mechanism to control the dispensing operation due to the dispensing mechanism; and a fluorescence detecting part 12 for irradiating the target 52 supported on the movable table 2 with light to detect the fluorescence thereof.
