To provide a cheap and high performance proton conductive polymer composition having proton conductivity equivalent or higher than that of a conventional perfluorosulfonic acid resin material and a high maximum operating temperature of about 80-150°C, and its production method.

This proton conductive polymer composition comprises an organic acid with a sulfonic acid group and a resin. The organic acid with the sulfonic acid group is homogeneously dispersed in the composition and the proton conductive polymer composition develops a black color as a whole.
