Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton conductor which has high proton conductivity, is operable in a middle-temperature range of e.g. 200-500°C and has a dense structure.SOLUTION: A proton conductor consists of a phosphate-based crystal dispersed in a matrix composed of a sintered body of a glass powder having a glass composition containing SnO and PO. The glass powder preferably comprises, by mol%, 35-80% of SnO, 5-40% of POand 0-30% of BO.
