PURPOSE: To prevent a robot, when it is in action, from interfering with a supporting member by constituting the supporting member being able to protrude and retract for a pallet and retracting to a bottom side from the pallet in a workpiece supply position.
CONSTITUTION: Driving a pallet 20, mounting a workpiece prevented from its position displacement by a workpiece stay 48, by a chain C, when the pallet 20 is stopped on a lift bed 16 in a fixed point, the lift bed 16 and a hook 44 are lowered by actuating a linear actuator 19. Simultaneously, also a base plate 30, positioned on the lift bed 16, lowers. Here detaching a tractive pin 6 from a pin guide 26 moving the workpiece stay 48 to the bottom from a long hole of the pallet 20, only the workpiece is placed in a positioning condition on the pallet 20. Accordingly, when a robot is in action, its hand can be prevented from interfering with the workpiece stay 48.
