PURPOSE: To provide a mark having a delicate configuration on thermoplastic resin-like unwoven fabric, woven fabric, etc. by a method wherein recessed parts of a plate with recesses having the same forms as respective marks are filled with thermoplastic resin solution or paste or powder, the plate is heated, then articles to be bonded are placed on the plate, pressed by a pressure plate on the bonded article, heated under such a condition to weld the thermoplastic resin in the recessed part of the plate to a sheet to be bonded.

CONSTITUTION: Recessed parts 5aW5d of the plate with recesses 5 having the same forms as respective marks are filled with solution, paste or powder of polyvinyl chloride, for example, with an adequate viscosity and the plate 5 is heated. Thus, the solution or paste filled is nearly made free from solvent or the powder is turned into the state immediately before the point of melting. A sheet-like material to be bonded 2 is placed on the plate 5 and pressed by the pressure plate 6 on the material to be bonded. Under such a pressure state, polyvinyl chloride filled in the recessed parts 5aW 5d is welded by heating the plate 5 or the plate 5 and pressure plate 6 to make the polyvinyl chloride being filled in the recesses 5aW5d fuse to the material to be bonded 2. Thus, a recess part 5 with a delicate patterns also can be provided easily and filled easily with resin solution and powder, etc. thereby, marks having delicate patterns can be provided easily.
