The communication karaoke service includes: a step for a server 3 of a communication karaoke system 1 for distributing the karaoke data including accompaniment data and background video data via a cable television communication network NW1 to a set top box (STB) 4 to accept a request for a musical piece from a cellular phone 12 of a singer 8 via a cellular phone communication network NW2; a step to retrieve and distribute the karaoke data of the requested musical piece; a step to receive the singing voice signal of the singer 8 via the cable television communication network NW1; and a step to distribute the received singing voice signal via the cable television communication network NW1 in real time to the STB4.
