In this method, a participant P having the mobile terminal 2 functioning as a GPS receiver with him/her takes part in orienteering to measure his/her own position at each point and his/her desired spot. Then transmits the position data obtained by this measurement and timing data indicating the point in time when the measurement was made to the movement record data creation device 1. This movement record data creation device 1 creates movement record data based on its received position data/timing data and its pre-stored course data to provide them to the participant P.
