Abstract:
To provide a renal proximal tubule epithelial cell accurately reflecting the feature of a proximal tubule.SOLUTION: A renal proximal tubule epithelial cell expresses Gamma-Glutamyltransferase 1(Ggt1), Tight Junction Protein ZO-1(ZO-1), E-Cadherin, β-Catenin and Megalin, has albumin uptake ability, can induce epithelial-mesenchymal transition by adding albumin or Transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β) to culture medium, and can form spheroid by three-dimensionally culturing the cell in an extracellular matrix.SELECTED DRAWING: None
