Title:
PROXIMITY PHASE ERROR COMPENSATION DEVICE IN DOUBLE SIDEBAND DOPPLER VOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2579724
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a reception signal without any dip in the amplitude of an FM carrier by compensating a proximity phase error by a reception antenna pattern, a synthesis circuit etc.
CONSTITUTION: An upper (lower) sideband wave is radiated from (180)° azimuth and a carrier wave is radiated from a rotary center part. A signal S2 obtained by dividing a signal S1 of a flat directivity antenna pattern A into two portions becomes a signal S4 which is Z0/2 times larger and the signal S3 is 1/21/2 times larger than the signal S1. A signal S5 with a sharp directivity antenna pattern B is n1 (gain ratio of antennas B and A) times larger than the signal S1 and a signal S6 which is obtained by multiplying it by 1/n1.21/2 is synthesized in inverse phase from the signal S3 to become a signal S7 (=1/21/2(S3-S6)) and a signal S8 by phase conversion by the amount of y degrees. A signal S9 which is obtained by synthesizing the signals S4 and S8 becomes 1/21/2(S4+S8). When a close-installation monitor position is determined and then Z0 and y related to amplitude and phase are set to proper values in a characteristic expression indicating the amplitude envelope of FM sub carriers, the amplitude results in m0n=n (m0 is an abbreviation 1 in the antenna A). Namely, the amplitude 0.2n becomes n due to compensation, thus eliminating a dip.
