Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction proximity sensor capable of reducing an impact of a coil characteristic change and/or an impact of disturbance noise.SOLUTION: A proximity sensor 1 includes: a transmission circuit for periodically supplying a pulse-like excitation current to a detection coil for generating a magnetic field; a reception circuit for detecting a voltage or a current occurring at both ends of the detection coil by periodical supply of the excitation current; and a control unit for detecting presence or absence or a position of a detection body by using a time-series signal obtained by detection. The control unit obtains a factor that influences detection of the detection body in a first period of the time-series signal. The control unit compensates a signal in a second period of the time-series signal by the factor. The control unit detects presence or absence or the position of the detection body on the basis of the signal after compensation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
