Title:
PRUNNING HOOK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002272269
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a prunning hook capable of cutting even a thick branch by small power, by solving a problem that conventional high twig shears require large power because a cutter blade of the conventional prunning hook touches to the twig on its side surface.

This prunning hook has a cutter blade 1 which is made to touch the twig 3 on its upper surface by bending the top part of the shears to an angle of about 90°, so that the twig 3 is vertically nipped to be cut. Consequently, the top of the twig to be cut is forced to downward bend by the gravity and then a notch is enlarged, so that the twig 3 is cut away when the small power is applied. The effect is enhanced by mildly moving the prunning hook as a whole in the vertical direction in a state that the twig is vertically nipped, and therefore the twig which is rather thick and difficult to be cut can be cut away.
