PURPOSE: To provide the subject preparation containing a specific compound as a main ingredient, having an action to scavenge active oxygen compounds such as OH. and H2O2 as well as O2-, and useful for treating ischemic disorders such as ischemic heart disease sequella and cerebral infarction sequella, inflammatory diseases such as chronic rheumatism, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This preparation contains a derivative of the formula (R1, R2 or R5, R6 are H, or respectively together form a double bond; R3, R4 are H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl) [e.g. pterine (R1, R2 and R5, R6 together form a double bond, respectively; R3, R4 are H)] as an active ingredient. The compound is added to an oral agent, injection, ointment, suppository, etc., in an amount of 10μm to 1000mg.
