To provide a public telephone set protector which scatters the external force breaking a public telephone set and can prevent the deformation of the bottom surface of the telephone set by forming a protective barrier to surround the bottom, left side, upper and right side surfaces of the telephone set.

The main body 30 of a protector 20 consists of a bottom surface plate 31, a left side surface plate 32, an upper surface plate 33 and a right side surface plate 34 so as to surround the bottom, left side, upper and right side surfaces of a public telephone set A respectively. A front door 40 is placed at the lower front part of the main body 30. Then the telephone set A is covered by the protector 20, and the plate 31 of the protector 20 is fastened to the bottom surface of the telephone set A by a bolt. In such a constitution, the external force for breaking is scattered to the plates 31 to 34 of the protector 20 respectively. Thus, the concentrated stress is reduced on the bottom surface of the telephone set A and the deformation of the bottom surface can be prevented.
