To improve the handleability of a user and to surely read card information by installing a clip for fixing a non-contact type IC card just by inserting it at a position near the reader-writer R/W of a public telephone set.
A clip 7 for fixing the IC card 200 is installed on a surface near the part where the antenna of a built-in R/W 4 is installed on the front side surface of the telephone set main body 1 of this public telephone set 100. Relating to the clip 7, a ball is utilized for instance, and when the IC card is inserted between the ball and the telephone set main body 1, the ball is rotated, the IC card is slid in and the IC card is elastically pressed and fixed to the telephone set main body 1 through the ball by a flat plate provided with spring force. At the time of pulling out the IC card, when the IC card is pulled downwards, the ball is rotated and it is easily detached. Also, by providing a recess 2 on the part pertinent to the lower edge of the IC card 200 of the telephone set main body 1, the insertion/detachment operations of the IC card are facilitated further.
