Abstract:
To provide a public telephone set that allows not only free calls but also paid calls at the time of a power failure.SOLUTION: A hanger of a public telephone set is pulled away from a housing of the public telephone set main body, and is provided with a generator and a power generation mechanism that operates the generator in conjunction with the movement of the hanger. When the hanger is pulled out, the hanger can be raised without stopping at the stop position in the off-hook state, and the movable range in the moving direction of the hanger is expanded. By operating the hanger, the movable range of which has been expanded, to move up and down manually, the generator is operated by the power generation mechanism to generate power.
