To prevent such a case where an unfinished procedure is carried on by an outsider or a card is wrong handed to an outsider by inputting a password number again at the end of a procedure.
A card reading/updating part 115 is started to receive an inserted card 104 and to read a password number. Then an input reception part 114 is started to receive input of the password number and to decide whether this number is identical to the password number of the card 104. When the coincidence is confirmed between both password numbers, a series of processing are carried out. When a customer discontinues his procedure or finishes all his procedure processing, the part 114 is started to receive the input of the password number and to store this number in an input password number storage part 111. Then it's decided whether the input password number is correct. If the number is correct, the part 115 is started to return the card 104. If the number is not correct, the part 115 is started again to collect the card 104. Thus, it's possible to prevent an outsider from altering the private information or stealing a card of another person.
