To provide a pulley pressure control device for a continuously variable transmission that widens a practical transmission range and increases transmission efficiency irrespective of a belt type by supplying pressing force and elastic force to a single pulley after a selection of a supply pressure type and an arbitrary determination of a supply pressure value since the pressing force and elastic force supplied to the pulley have respective speed and torque adjusting capacities.
A pressing force supply line and an elastic force supply line are juxtaposed between a body and the pulley in relation to the pulley so as to connect directly to one of two pressure ends of a compound compressor with two commands and indirectly to the other via an elastic body. Supply pressures in either or both of the supply lines are externally adjusted to substantial zero or an arbitrary value by a control device.
