PURPOSE: To prevent fiber waste from invading into a groove by preparing a protecting shoe for cable guiding groove pulley in a drawing device which is inserted between the vibration lever of a shed forming mechanism and an attached heddle frame in a weaving machine.

CONSTITUTION: This shoe is provided with the whole profile of a sector, and a pulley 12 to be protected and projections 14 fitting into a groove 11 are provided on the recessed profile edge of the sector. A bow shaped end 13 is provided in one side of both side parts of the sector and also the linear groove 10, whose bottom is oriented tangentially to the groove 11 so that the cable 2 itself guided by the pulley 12 prevents fiber scrap from being introduced, is provided in the other side of the same.
