Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve water proofness of a pulley unit for automobile accessory.SOLUTION: Both side surfaces of a rolling bearing 20 press fitted into an inner diameter surface of a hub part 13 of a pulley 10 are covered by a pair of annular dust covers 30 in which an inner circumferential part of one surface is closely contacted with a side surface of an inner race 22 of the rolling bearing 20, and outer circumference portions of a pair of dust covers 30 are provided with seal members 32. The seal members 32 are provided with seal lips 33 contacted with the side surfaces of an annular flange 12 of the pulley 10. The seal members 32 are formed by high abrasion material, the extremity ends of the seal lips 33 are worn out through contacted rotation of the annular flange 12 at the initial stage of rotation of the pulley 10 so as to form a minimum labyrinth 34 between it and the annular flange 12 and then water proofness is improved without increasing seal torque.
