Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent water from getting into a pulley unit, by disposing a shield cover to the pulley unit with an one-way clutch.
SOLUTION: In the pulley unit A, the one-way clutch 3 is disposed in a ring-like space between an outer ring 1 and an inner shaft 2 which are concentrically arranged. The shield cover 50 is mounted to the inner shaft 2 so as to close an end side in axial direction of the ring-like space, and forming a non- contact sealing portion of small clearance 51. Even if auxiliary machinery with the pulley unit, such as an alternator, is disposed on a portion of an automobile where muddy water is susceptible to splash on, the muddy water or the like is surely prevented from getting into the pulley unit.
