Title:
PULP ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04148019
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To drive an engine with industrial waste utilized by chopping pieces of waste paper and the like produced from office buildings by a shredder, forming pulp in a slurry condition with vapor added thereafter, and thereby making use of the aforesaid pulp as main fuel with light oil used as igniting fuel.

CONSTITUTION: Pieces of waste paper 109 are carried by a belt conveyor 110 over to a shredder 111 so as to be chopped. In this case, vapor extracted out of a vapor pipe 108 within an exhaust gas economizer 107 provided for the exhaust pipe 106, is mixed with the pieces of waste paper so as to be made into pulp in a slurry condition, so that it is thereby stored into a pulp tank 112. Pulp in a slurry condition is forwarded with pressure by a high pressure pump 113 so as to be stored in a pressure accumulator 114, so that it is jetted out of a pulp exhaust valve 116 into pre- combustion chamber 104 with an electromagnetic valve 115 opened/closed. On the other hand, light oil is fed to an injection valve 117 so as to be injected into the pre-combustion chamber 104, so that it is thereby self-ignited as an igniting source. In addition, high pressure air is fed therein by a high pressure compressor 118, so that pulp in a slurry condition is formed into particulates when it passes through a perforated panel 116' so as to be ignited and burned. This thereby allows a piston to be operated, thereby acquiring power.
