To provide a pulse combustion device and a pulse combustion method capable of providing high output by pulse combustion of a high frequency with a simple structure, without requiring a high speed operation part such as a flapper valve.
This pulse combustion device has a combustion cylinder 10 having blocked one end and the opened other end, a fuel supply pipe 13 and an oxygen supply pipe 15 arranged in a blocked end part of the combustion cylinder 10, a mixing means 20 promoting mixing of fuel and oxygen supplied from the fuel supply pipe 13 and the oxygen supply pipe 15, and a spark plug 25 igniting an fuel-air mixture. In the pulse combustion device, the fuel supply pipe 13 and the oxygen supply pipe 15 are respectively arranged so that the fuel or oxygen supply direction turns to the blocked end side of the combustion cylinder 10, and have pressure adjusting means 141 and 161 for adjusting gas pressure of the supplied fuel becomes lower than gas pressure of the oxygen.
