Title:
PULSE COUNTING CIRCUIT AND FV CONVERSION CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3290061
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the responsivity of a pulse counting circuit.
SOLUTION: A pulse counting circuit 11 counts input signals by an input signal counter 16, latches the signals with a latch 17 for each counting period which is set by a timer signal (B) from a timer circuit 15 for setting count period gives the storage value of the latch 17 to a D/A conversion circuit 12, and performs FV conversion to a voltage value from frequency. A comparator 19 compares the count value of the input signal counter 16 with the stored value of the latch 17 and selects a value which is not smaller by a selector 20 and feeds it to the D/A conversion circuit 12. When the frequency of an input signal rapidly increases, the count value of the input signal counter 16 is derived as a direct pulse count value, thus improving the response when the input signal rapidly increases.
