PURPOSE: To immediately generate pulses having a specified period by comparing current pulse period setting information with the preceding pulse period setting information and at the time of detecting a change, loading the new pulse period setting information.

CONSTITUTION: This pulse generating circuit is provided with a counting means 10 for counting up inputted clocks and generating pulses at the timing specified by setting information, a 1st storage means 20 for storing the current setting information, a 2nd storage means 30 for storing the preceding setting information, a comparing means 40 for comparing the contents of the pulse 20 with that of the means 30, and a loading means 50 for loading the setting information to the means 10 based upon the outputs of the means 10, 40. When the pulse period setting information is changed, the change is detected and pulses having the period specified by new pulse setting information can be immediately generated.
