PURPOSE: To equally set a period of an output pulse without allowing the frequency of a counting clock to become higher unnecessary, by dispersing equally a fraction generated at the time of division, by an equally dispersing means.
CONSTITUTION: A first down-counter 2 counts down by '1' each, whenever one piece of a period pulse Tp is inputted, and outputs a borrow, when it becomes '0'. Also, a second down-counter 4 counts a counting pulse Tc, and outputs a borrow at every M.Tc. Subsequently, an up-counter 5 counts the number of times of an output of the borrow of the second down-counter 4, during the time of N.Tp. On the other hand, an output R of the second down- counter 4 is loaded to a counter 7 by the timing by which the borrow is outputted from the first down-counter 2. An adder 9 sets a value which has added an output L of a latch and an output of an FF 8, as a preset value of a down-counter 10. A borrow outputted from this counter 10 becomes its own load pulse and a clock of the down-counter 7. In such a way, a pulse which has divided equally an N period into M parts is obtained. Also, an error R can be distributed equally within a range of the resolution of a period Tc of a counting clock.
