To provide a pulse generator by which an additional control device requiring a speed signal is installed even on a multiplex communication-processed vehicle and vehicle customization at a user side is enhanced, and to provide a display device having the same for vehicle.
The pulse generator has at least: a control means comprising a control section 14 and an output section 18 and inputting, through a multiplex communication line S, rotation rate data (wheel speed data) on wheels from a vehicle-mounted ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) unit 24 and generating a pulse signal usable in a vehicle-mounted additional navigation unit (an information display device) 26 based on the rotation rate data; and an output terminal (an output means) 19 outputting, through a wiring member 27, the pulse signal generated by the control means to the navigation unit 26. The display device A for vehicle which displays vehicle information is provided with the pulse generator.
