To provide a clock/frame pulse selection system that selects, generates and distributes an optimum and ensured system clock/frame pulse at all times in a clock/frame pulse generating and distribution system, having a plurality of clock/frame pulse inputs.

The clock/frame pulse generating and distribution system is provided with a clock/frame pulse input section 11, a system clock generating section 12, a clock/frame pulse output section 13, and a state monitor/control section 15. When a plurality of clock/frame pulses are synchronous or asynchronous in the clock/frame pulse generating and distribution system having a plurality of clock/frame pulse inputs, an individual mode is provided, a state monitor and control of the input clock/frame pulses is conducted, the optimum and ensured system clock/frame pulse is selected, generated and distributed.
