To provide a pulse wave radar installation capable of preventing demodulation output of a receiver to be normally zero by a simple circuit constitution, as in a pulse wave radar installation, transmission return time of wave differs with the distance to an object and so, depending on the phase relationship between reception wave and oscillation wave from an oscillator, intensity variation of the output from the demodulation circuit is caused, and in the worst case, the object exists close and the output from the demodulation circuit becomes zero even if a reception wave with large intensity is received with a reception antenna.
In the pulse wave radar installation of this invention, the frequency of a modulated pulse wave and the frequency of mixing a reception wave are made different so that a phase difference occurs between the modulated frequency of the reception wave and the frequency of the oscillation wave for mixing.
