Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a D/A converter by optionally outputting the signals from the flat PWM output signals 'LL-LL' of an 'L' level to the flat PWM output signals 'HH-HH' of an 'H' level in a pulse width modulator.
CONSTITUTION: The modulator includes an input data register 90 storing digital input data 54, a pulse width generator 50 outputting generator output signal 56 which is pulse-width-modulated based on input data 54 from the input data registor 90, and a selector part 58 receiving a generator output signal from the pulse width generator 50 and a selector part control signal 62. The selector part 58 outputs either of the generator output signal 56 or the flat signal of 'H' or 'L' level based on a selector part control signal 62.
