Title:
PULSED RADAR TRANSMITTER-RECEIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3343674
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pulsed radar transmitter-receiver, which can be realized with a simple circuit configuration even when it is used in a millimeter wave band, which can be miniaturized and which can be made low-cost.
SOLUTION: A signal at a frequency for transmission which is oscillated by a self-oscillation mixer(SOM) 2 is sent out from an antenna 1. A signal which hits a target so as to be reflected is received by the antenna 1, and its received wave signal is inputted to the SOM 2. In addition, the oscillation frequency of the SOM 2 is changed over continuously to the frequency for transmission and to a local oscillation frequency for reception. The received wave signal which is inputted to the SOM 2 is mixed with the local oscillation frequency for reception so as to be converted into, and fetched as, an intermediate frequency, the signal is processed, and a radar detecting operation is performed. In addition, a high-frequency circuit part which comprises the SOM 2 can be realized by a structure having one diode housed inside a cavity.
