Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate the pulverization of rice bran, by treating the rice bran with superheated steam, thereby evaporating the fat together with water from the rice bran.
CONSTITUTION: Rice bran (bran of glutinuous rice or nonglutinous rice) is treated with superheated steam of ≥105°C, preferably 140W200°C for 5secW30min, and pulverized to the particles size of 60W250 mesh with a rotary mill, impact mill, fluid-energy mill, etc.
