To pulverize lumps of solid material, and take out a discharged object pulverized into granules having evenly a particle size of not greater than a definite size.
A pulverizer includes a pulverizing part casing 22 which houses a portion provided with rods 10, 11 of two rotational axes 8, 9 having a plurality of rods 10, 11 standing on their peripheral surfaces and supported horizontally at the same height and in parallel to each other. Lumps of a solid material fed is sequentially pulverized into granules with the rods 10, 11 of the two rotational axes 8, 9 rotating in the casing 22. A screen 27 composed of a plurality of screen bars 271, 272, 275, 276 supported in parallel is provided under the rotating space of the rod 10. Granules having a particle size not greater than the definite value corresponding to the gap between the mutual screen bars pass and drop through the gap to be discharged out of the casing 22. The adjacent screen bars are driven to rotate in directions different from each other with rotation numbers different from each other by a pulley mechanism 50, 60.
