To provide a pulverizer can stably pulverize various information media or the like such as paper sheets, magnetic tape type recording media, optical recording media, and substrates or the like, and prevent pulverized objects from flowing out from a feed port.

The pulverizer includes a pulverization chamber 26 housing a pulverization means 27 for pulverizing objects to be pulverized, and a feed path 120 for feeding the objects to be pulverized to the pulverization chamber 26. The pulverizer has a feed port lid member 125 for closing the feed port 122 of the feed path 120, and an inner lid member 128 provided inside the feed path. The feed port lid member 128 maintains a feed port closed state by the elastic force of an elastic member 127 in a free state, and is turned to a feed port open state by inward pressurization opposing the elastic force of the elastic member 127. The inner lid member 128 closes the inside of the feed path by the tare in the free state, and is turned to an open state by pressurization by the objects to be pulverized which enter the feed path 120 in the feed port open state.
