PURPOSE: To simplify structure of pump apparatus when providing a cover over a suction hole to be made through housing for the purpose of cooling a motor for driving pump, by forming inlet of vent path of cover below pump while outlet above the center of pump.
CONSTITUTION: Through driving of motor section comprised of a stator core 18 wound with a coil and a rotor 43, a fan 10 and an impeller 6 on a rotary shaft 12 are rotated integrally to deliver fluid sucked through a suction pipe 2 through delivery pipe 3. In such a pump system 1, a cover 15 to be formed at the rear end of housing 13 is formed at the position facing with a fitting hole of counter load side bearing 17 of housing 13 while being provided with a cylindrical section 27 to be fitted in said hole and a vent path 28. Said vent path 28 is formed such that the inlet 29 is made at the outer circumference of cover 15 while opening downwardly and the outlet 30 is made above the center of pump apparatus 1 while opening in the direction of rotary shaft 12.
