To provide a pump control device, which is capable of reducing a variation rate of an actual flow rate with respect to a target flow rate of a pump device during a low flow rate, while a control of the pump device is simplified.
A pump control device 15 controls a DC brushless motor 3 of a pump device which includes the DC brushless motor 3 as a drive source and of which the flow rate is increased and decreased in response to the increase and decrease in a rotational speed of the DC brushless motor 3. When a level of a speed control signal for the DC brushless motor 3 determined in accordance with a target flow rate of the pump device is higher than a prescribed predetermined reference value, the pump control device 15 controls the DC brushless motor 3 in an open loop control and, when the level of the speed control signal is lower than the reference value, it controls the DC brushless motor 3 in a closed loop control on the basis of measurement results of an actual rotating speed which is an actual rotational speed of the DC brushless motor 3.
